Technology in the Classroom

 I am a very tech-savvy teacher. I enjoy using many different methods of learning that involve technology and the internet. Some ways I will be incorporating technology is:

• Gamified learning
• Digital field trips
• Digital polls and surveys 
• Creating digital content (videos, Kahoot, podcasts)
• And of course, this blog! Where you will find a calendar posted regarding important dates, reminders, and some digital content I post that will be shown in class, so it can be reinforced at home. 

Internet usage and technology is always closely monitored in the classroom. We have programs that limit certain websites, and we are always supervising students on the computer. 

Internet safety and etiquette is taught in class, along with the importance of following directions when using technology.

My Philosophy to Teaching

     My philosophy when it comes to the classroom, is that all children are unique, and must have a an equally unique and stimulating educational environment. In my classroom I will challenge my students to grow physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially. With my guidance, I want my students to set and reach academic goals. It is my desire to create a certain type of atmosphere in my classroom where students can meet their full potential, and thrive with their fellow classmates. My classroom will be a safe environment to all, where students are invited to share their ideas and take risks while learning through hands-on activities.
